At The Desired Life Limited, our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services are designed for people with disability who require ongoing, higher-level support, including overnight assistance.
We believe that everyone deserves to live in a home where they feel safe, supported, and empowered to live the life they choose—with dignity, respect, and independence.
Who is SIL for?
Supported Independent Living is best suited for individuals with significant support needs who require help with daily living tasks throughout the day and night. This includes:
- People living with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities
- Adults who benefit from 24/7 support in a shared or individual living environment
- NDIS participants with SIL funding in their plans

What’s Included in Our SIL Services?
We provide a person-centred approach to daily living support, tailoring every detail to meet your needs and goals. In our SIL homes, you’ll receive:
- Personal care: Help with showering, dressing, hygiene, and other daily activities
- Medication assistance: Safe, monitored support with taking and managing medications
- Health & medical support: Assistance attending appointments and managing health needs
- Meal preparation: Support with cooking and nutrition that suits your preferences
- Recreation & community access: We help you engage in activities, hobbies, and social events
- Skills building: We encourage growth in independence and everyday life skills inside and outside the home
- Positive behaviour support: Compassionate, respectful support tailored to your behavioural needs
- Dubbo – Our head office location and home to a variety of SIL residences
